(Flange Facing is the process of machining the flange mating surfaces so that they re-produce the same surface finish conditions as the original flange. With our current capabilities we can machine all flanges from size 0” (Blind Flange) to up to 6 Meters (236”). The process involves: 1. Inspection of the flange sealing area (Raised Face, Ring Groove, RTJ or full face) where the gasket is seated or the drum area where the bearing is seated. 2. 3. In case of extreme pitting or extensive damage assessed after inspection, the damaged area is positively re-built by gouging and then welding. The flange / bearing surface is machined back to its original form as per required specifications.)
